New Delhi/News Desk। Corona vaccination is being done rapidly in the country. According to the Union Health Ministry, more than 1,17,00,000 doses of corona vaccine have been given. 1,04,00,000 first doses have been given. 12,61,000 second doses have been awarded. At the same time, the number of active cases of corona has now reduced to less than 1,50,000.
The ministry said that as of 1 pm today, the total immunization has been 1,17,64,788. Of these, 68 percent health workers have been given the first dose and 62 percent health workers have been given the second dose. More than 41 percent of frontline workers have been given the first dose.

The Health Ministry said that in Kerala and Maharashtra there are still 75 percent active cases of corona. Maharashtra has almost a percentage of active cases in the country. Kerala accounts for 38 percent of the country’s total active cases while Maharashtra has 37 percent of the total active cases. There are 4 active cases in Karnataka and 2.78 percent in Tamil Nadu
NITI Aayog health member Dr VK Paul said that two variants of Corona are being talked about in Maharashtra which are N440 K variants and E484 K variants. He said that yes these variants have been found in Maharashtra, Kerala and Telangana. Along with this, he said that so far in the country 187 new corona strains have been detected in the UK and 6 people have been detected in South Africa and one Brazilian strain.
